DPS ROAD TEST (Third Party Skills Test)
First Drive Driving School now offers D.P.S road test for teens and adults.
Skip the DPS Visit with Third-Party Testing
As a U.S. citizen, you have the opportunity to bypass visiting the DPS by taking your road test through our certified school. We will handle the submission of your paperwork directly to the DPS. Once the documents are reviewed and approved, you will receive a link to create an account and download your license.
Important Details:
- This program is part of the Third Party Skills Testing (TPST) initiative introduced by the State of Texas earlier this fall.
- To date, over 50 students have successfully completed this process through our school, with more joining every week. By participating, you're leveraging a proven, convenient pathway to secure your license.
Please Note:
This is not an overnight process and requires patience. Approval typically takes 3–5 business days or 5–7 days during national holiday periods. Rushing or pressuring the process will not expedite approvals, as it depends on DPS processing times and accuracy of submissions.
Additional Information:
- Occasionally, applications may be rejected due to errors. If this happens, we will work with you to correct and resubmit the documents promptly.
- Since the launch of this program, more than 50 students—and counting—have successfully used this method, showing its reliability and efficiency in meeting licensing needs.
- If you prefer, you may collect your paperwork from our office and submit it directly to the DPS yourself.
We offer this service to save you time and make the process more convenient. However, we ask for your understanding and patience as we navigate this new system on your behalf.
